
Gaga was introduced to performer Lady Starlight during this time; after a performance at Lollapalooza Festival in 2007 Gaga was signed by Vince Herbert to Streamline Records, an imprint of Interscope Records. Gaga's debut album in 2008, 'The Fame' was a mediocre radio hit. The singer was on tour Europe and the US in support of the album. However, it wasn't until Gaga's 2009 hit 'Just Dance that mainstream pop music really took off. Gaga was suffering from a labral tear on her right leg. she was secretly nursing for several weeks to ensure she could continue the tour. After a show in Toronto caused her to be unable to walk, and with a lot of pain the singer was taken to a hospital to undergo surgery. the tour was postponed.
